Cause Posters

This poster series was really close to my heart. It is a
series of posters informing a call to action informing my
audience about the oppression of women in Afghanistan.
This series triggers shock of the reality of the situation
and compassion to drive the viewer to act. These posters
are partnering with Women’s Peace & Humanitarian
Fund, a UN organization that supports the humanity and
wellbeing of women in other countries.

I used the typeface Cambria for the titles to draw the
eye and to make the voice professional and serious. I
chose Calibri Bold to give a simple and message that was
easy to read. The average attention span of a human is
7 seconds so I added the highlighted blue text to draw
the attention of the viewer. The important details are
highlighted so one can easily get the information they
need if they are in a hurry. The blue color scheme is
matching with WPHF’s brand which is light and dark blue
with some pink. The pink color did not match the mood of
the series so I left it out. The darkened images of Afghan
women expresses the emotion and the cry for help. Each
image represents the topic of each poster. I wanted to
show the reality that these women are facing every day
through the design and the content.
