My name is Becky Young. I am a graphic designer based in Ohio. I enjoy freelance work with a simple, gentle, and feminine style. I am a hard worker, ready to try new things with my clients.
Behind the Designs
Behind the designer is a gentle, loving young woman who takes pride in making people happy. I enjoy lifting people up and helping them in any way I can. It could be when they need a good design or a hug to show that I care. I want people to know that I care. I want to reflect the likeness of Christ in my work, with my clients, and with anyone I come in contact with. I believe I can achieve this goal through design and God's grace.
My Design Statement
I express my work with simplicity, gentleness, and femininity. Simple designs go straight to the point with laidback elements. Gentleness is expressed with easy-to-read typefaces and calm colors. Femininity is the foundation of my design personality and brand through approachable and graceful characteristics.
Through research and inspiration, I push myself to solve problems. Designing for the client and not for me is always on my mind when I design. Some of my inspirations are De Stijl, Bauhaus, Josef Albers’ work, and Black Mountain College, where everyone expressed their work freely. These designers shaped the modern era of design. It is inspiring how they use primary colors, basic shapes, and have a laidback personality.
I believe in intentionality in my work. Having a sense of confidence and expression is also crucial. I believe that the compassion and gentleness that God has given me can be used to witness to others and express His love. People long for connection, I believe that through my work I can make those connections.
